MADTECH.AI is seeking a hands-on Art Director to shape how our brand looks and feels across digital and physical experiences. You will develop a visual direction, explain its rationale, and drive it through to final execution.

Apply AI tools to explore ideas, generate visuals, and refine output into distinctive work that reflects our brand. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with design, copy, product, and marketing teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of art direction or senior visual design experience within B2B SaaS, enterprise tech or top-tier digital agencies.
• Proven experience leading visual direction for digital-first brands or platforms.
• Experience working on enterprise or mid-market SaaS platforms.
• A comprehensive portfolio showing typography, visual hierarchy, layout design and modular systems.

We're looking for a hands-on Art Director to help shape how our brand looks, feels and shows up in the world.

Working closely with our Creative Director, you'll turn ideas into distinctive creative across digital and physical experiences. We're looking for a strong conceptual thinker who loves making things: someone who can develop a visual direction, explain why it works, and carry it through to the finished piece.

AI should already be part of your creative practice. You know how to use it to explore ideas, generate visuals and push a concept further. You also have the design judgment to refine the output into work that feels intentional and unmistakably ours.

What you'll do

• Partner with the Creative Director to develop and evolve MADTECH.AI's visual identity.
• Concept and create work across our website, social channels, campaigns, presentations, events, print and other brand touchpoints.
• Translate complex ideas into clear, compelling visual stories.
• Use AI tools for visual exploration, image generation and production, combining them with strong design craft.
• Build repeatable AI-assisted workflows that help the wider team create on-brand work faster.
• Build brand guidelines, templates and modular creative systems that keep our work consistent as we grow.
• Partner closely with copywriters, product design and marketing teams.
• Mentor junior and mid-level designers.
• Take projects from initial concept through final delivery, balancing ambition, detail and deadlines.
• Bring fresh references, ideas and techniques to the team.

What you'll bring

• 8+ years of art direction or senior visual design experience within B2B SaaS, enterprise tech or top-tier digital agencies, with a proven focus on multi-channel digital campaigns, demand generation or performance creative.
• Proven experience leading visual direction for digital-first brands or platforms.
• Experience working on enterprise or mid-market SaaS platforms.
• A comprehensive portfolio of B2B or SaaS work that shows sophisticated typography, visual hierarchy, layout design and modular creative systems across digital touchpoints, such as ad packages, conversion web pages, editorial assets and interactive experiences.
• A sharp eye for composition, color and visual storytelling.
• Practical experience using AI image-generation and creative tools (e.g. Midjourney, Runway, Claude, ChatGPT), with examples of how you've incorporated them into finished work.
• Confidence in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Motion, video or interactive storytelling experience.
• Familiarity with UX/UI principles, or experience collaborating closely with product design teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills: you can explain the "why" behind your work, build on feedback and take ownership of it.
• The ability to move between big-picture thinking and hands-on production.
• A proactive, self-starter mentality, with experience partnering closely with copywriters and mentoring junior or mid-level designers.

Good to have

• Familiarity with front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS) and web design frameworks.
• 3D experience, or experience bringing brands into physical spaces.
• Real influence on a brand that’s still taking shape, with visibility to the leadership team.
• Room to experiment with emerging AI creative tools.
