Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an Arista L3 Network Engineer to design, deploy, and support Arista EOS-based data center networks in a Chennai-based DC. You will work with Leaf-Spine architectures, EVPN-VXLAN overlays, and multi-tenant segmentation, ensuring high availability and performance.

Qualifications include 8–12 years in data center networking, strong BGP/OSPF knowledge, and experience with Arista CVP.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in data center networking.
• Expert in Arista EOS with EVPN-VXLAN.
• Strong routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, VRF.

Responsibilities

• Act as L2/L3 escalation point for DC and network incidents.
• Provide end-to-end support for DC network fabric (underlay & overlay).
• Participate in LCM activities, upgrades, and change implementation.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and drive permanent fixes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, application, cloud).
• Ensure high availability, performance, and design compliance.
• Maintain documentation, network diagrams, and SOPs.

Job Requirements*

• Design, deploy, and support Arista EOS-based data center networks
• Configure and manage Leaf-Spine architecture with EVPN-VXLAN overlays
• Strong experience with BGP (underlay/overlay), OSPF, and route redistribution
• Implement and manage VXLAN, VTEPs, VRFs, and multi-tenant segmentation
• Configure and troubleshoot MLAG, LACP, VLANs, and Layer 2/3 forwarding
• Work on high-availability and redundancy mechanisms in DC networks
• Perform traffic analysis, packet capture, and latency troubleshooting
• Integrate Arista solutions with firewalls, load balancers, and WAN/SD-WAN
• Use Arista CloudVision (CVP) for centralized management, telemetry, and automation
• Support automation initiatives using Python, Ansible, or REST APIs
• Troubleshoot routing loops, convergence issues, packet loss, and asymmetric routing
