Job summary

Siemens Energy India Limited in Pune and Mumbai seeks an Area Sales Professional for Grid Technology to lead sales of EHV transmission projects, GIS/AIS substations, and HV products across the Western region.

You will manage end-to-end bids, coordinate with factory teams, and cultivate new customers while maintaining existing relationships in Maharashtra and neighboring states. 12–18 years in project/product sales is required.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 12–18 years of experience in project/product sales for transmission product portfolio.
• Knowledge of GIS/AIS high voltage products, PowerGrid contracts, and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Handle Sales of EHV transmission projects, GIS/AIS substations, HV products and spares within Western region (Pune, Mumbai).
• Own tender studies: qualification, specifications, product selection, and market intelligence.
• Achieve yearly order intake targets and drive business growth.
• Develop new customers while nurturing existing relationships; manage channel partners.
• Monitor KPIs and coordinate with factory teams for end-to-end delivery.

Our Area Sales Professional (ASP) are the single point contact to the customers for the factory. ASP determine and implement the client requirements. ASP lead “from inception to execution!” by converting thoughts into actual products, through their expertise, domain knowledge and coordination with the factory teams. Join our team and we will give you the latest knowledge on AIS / GIS technology and plenty of opportunities to groom yourself as a ASP.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities are as below:

• This role is to handle Transmission Project, Product & Services Business for Western region – Pune territory. This position shall report to Team Leader.
• In this exciting role you will be responsible for Sales of (a) EHV Transmission Projects includes GIS/AIS Substation, Statcoms (b) High voltage products viz Circuit Breakers, CT / CVT both in AIS / GIS segments, Power Transformers, Power Transformers and Spares for the entire product range. (c) Services, which comprises of Field Services and Spare parts of Siemens Energy Transmission product lines, Solution business including HVDC / FACTS. In addition to the same Retrofitting of AIS & GIS products / Substations also play major role.
• The role requires active involvement in study of the Project Tender RFQ includes Qualification requirement, product specifications, selection of right product for offering, capture Market intelligence (Updates on Projects/ Market/ Competitor information, Order won/ loss analysis etc.) by interacting with various customers.
• Youll ensure meeting the desired Order Intake targets for the year to achieve yearly growth in business.
• You will be required to develop new customers / opportunities while maintaining existing customer relationships to higher levels.
• You’ll be responsible to set, monitor and ensure to meet KPI.
• You’ll handle existing customers base in Pune, Nagpur, Bhopal, etc. Location
• You’ll handle Channel Partners to grab business from untapped market.

• You are an Electrical Engineer (B.E / B.Tech) with 12 - 18 years of experience in Project Sales / Product sales for Transmission product Portfolio
• Youre analytical, team player and a go getter with ability to communicate and correlate concepts/problems/ requirements to provide solutions based upon the domain.
• Youve knowledge of basic of Single Line Diagram, Plan and layout and associated equipment and basic of electrical engineering keeping application of projects.
• Youve knowledge of High Voltage GIS products, customer specifications/ contracts for PowerGrid, State utilities, Oil & Gas, Industry consultants etc, export projects
• Youve hands on experience in software-based ERP tool SAP, MS office (Excel/ Word/ Power Point, MS Projects / Primavera
• You’ve phenomenal interpersonal skills.
