Job summary

Mahindra Finance is seeking a Legal Recovery professional to handle matters related to NPAs, bad debt, and written-off loans. You will manage end-to-end litigation, review notices, and coordinate with external advocates and recovery agencies.

The role requires 1-2 years of experience in banking/financial services, familiarity with SARFAESI, DRT, arbitration, and insolvency processes, and strong drafting and negotiation skills. Proficiency in MS Office and legal MIS reporting is essential.

Qualifications

• LL.B. from a recognized university.
• LL.M. preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in legal recovery, collections litigation, debt recovery, banking, NBFC, or financial services.
• Experience with SARFAESI, DRT, Arbitration, Negotiable Instruments Act, Civil Recovery and Insolvency matters.

• Handle legal recovery matters pertaining to NPA, bad debt, and written-off loan accounts.
• Initiate and monitor recovery proceedings under applicable laws including Arbitration, DRT, Civil, Criminal, and Insolvency proceedings wherever applicable.
• Coordinate with advocates, recovery agencies, and enforcement authorities for legal recovery actions.
• Ensure timely filing and follow-up of legal cases for recovery of outstanding dues.
• Manage end-to-end litigation related to bad debts and recovery matters.
• Review legal notices, pleadings, petitions, affidavits, and recovery-related documentation.
• Track court cases and ensure timely representation and compliance.
• Maintain MIS of legal cases, recovery actions, and litigation status.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Qualification

• LL.B. from a recognized university.
• LL.M. preferred.

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in legal recovery, collections litigation, debt recovery, banking, NBFC, or financial services sector.
