Job summary

Muthoot Microfin is seeking a experienced Credit Compliance and Underwriting professional for field leadership in the region. The role focuses on enforcing regulatory norms, shaping underwriting policies, and guiding prudent credit decisions across secured and unsecured loan segments.

The incumbent will drive field compliance, training, and policy updates, while coordinating with field teams to ensure accurate KYC, documentation, customer selection, and loan sanctioning practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in credit/ team handling/ microfinance.
• Willingness to travel to multiple locations within the respective zone.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure Credit related Regulatory and Legal compliances are followed thoroughly by the key role holders in field.
• Implement robust credit underwriting policies and processes for MFI, Secured & unsecured loans in the region and ensure that the processes/policies are effectively managed on the field.
• Facilitate Prudent Credit Decisions (IGL, GL, CD, MSGB) on exceptional cases based on data points.
• Conduct PDs, GRTs, HVs randomly to understand the field orientation.
• Ensure Credit team are trained on the policy or process changes.
• Ensure adherence to all regulatory norms with respect to KYC & Documentation, Customer Selection and Sanctioning of Loans.
