Job summary

A leading global architecture and design firm is hiring an Architect I in Mumbai. The role involves working on Higher Education, K-12, and Residential projects, and requires strong Revit proficiency. Ideal candidates will have 4–6 years of experience in an architectural firm, contributing to technical documentation and design development in a collaborative studio environment.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in an architectural firm, preferably in international studio.
• Experience in educational, residential, and renovation projects is highly valued.
• LEED, EDAC, or WELL accreditation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a team member in developing architectural drawings.
• Assist with construction administration and coordination.
• Collaborate with the Principal in Charge, Project Architect, and Project Manager.

Position Overview

We are seeking an Architect to join our client’s Mumbai studio — part of a globally recognized architecture and design practice known for its integrated, human-centered approach. This position offers the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary design teams on Higher Education, K-12, and Residential projects of varying scale and complexity. The ideal candidate will be a design-sensitive, detail-oriented professional with strong Revit (BIM) proficiency, capable of contributing to both technical documentation and design development within a collaborative studio culture.

Role & Responsibilities

• Participate as a team member in developing aesthetic and technical designs, and preparing architectural drawings and construction documents (including drawings and specifications).
• Assist with construction administration and coordination during project execution.
• Collaborate closely with the Principal in Charge, Project Architect, and Project Manager.
• Develop construction documents under guidance from senior team members.
• Lead or support BIM modeling, drawing organization, and quality control processes.
• Ensure compliance with Building and Life Safety codes and project standards.
• Coordinate with engineering and specialist consultants to ensure design integration.
• Participate in client meetings and maintain excellent client relationships.
• Monitor project progress and flag resourcing or coordination needs to the PM.
• Uphold internal standards for production quality, efficiency, and documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

• 4–6 years of experience in an architectural firm (international studio experience preferred).
• Proficiency in Revit (BIM) is mandatory.
• Strong skills in SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with tools like Enscape, Lumion, Bluebeam, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Experience attending construction progress meetings and handling site decisions.
• Exposure to educational, residential, and renovation projects is highly valued.
• LEED, EDAC, or WELL accreditation is a plus.
• Excellent graphic, technical, organizational, and written communication skills.
• Should be currently based in Mumbai or willing to relocate.
