Job Purpose:
As a core technical member of the Brand Retail Identity (BRI) team, the Architect will be responsible for translating brand-led spatial concepts into technically sound, buildable environments. This role demands strong architectural knowledge, interpretation of multidisciplinary drawings, and the ability to resolve complex design and execution challenges. The Architect will serve as the technical backbone for all BRI projects, ensuring that the design vision is delivered with precision, safety, and efficiency.
The role will report to the Lead – BRI and will work in close collaboration with the Global Brand teams (including Digital, Creative Strategy, and PR), Customer Experience, and India Business teams to translate brand vision into technically sound architectural solutions that deliver consistent and immersive brand experiences across retail and service environments.
Responsibilities
- Translate conceptual designs into comprehensive architectural packages including plans, sections, elevations, and construction details.
- Ensure all spatial designs meet local by-laws, safety standards, accessibility norms, and building codes.
- Interpret and coordinate MEP, structural, and civil drawings to align with architectural intent.
- Identify design-execution conflicts and provide timely resolutions in collaboration with consultants, contractors, and the BRI design team.
- Prepare and review complete GFC (Good for Construction) drawing sets for all retail and service formats.
- Develop detailed drawings for façade systems, material interfaces, signage integration, lighting layouts, and fixtures.
- Support Project Managers and contractors during execution with site-specific design clarifications and technical inputs.
- Participate in site visits, audits, and BOQ validations where technical scrutiny is required.
- Guide the integration of custom-designed furniture, fixtures, and branding elements with architectural finishes and services.
- Work closely with vendors for prototyping and engineering of bespoke elements.
- Maintain an organized database of drawing templates, technical standards, and specifications.
- Drive continuous improvement in technical detailing, value engineering, and material specifications.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch) is mandatory.
- Post-graduation (M.Arch) in retail, interior architecture, or related specializations is preferred.
- Preferably from SPA; CEPT; NIT; Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design, and Technology; Sir J.J College of Architecture; R.V College of Architecture; CCA.
Experience
- 8 years of relevant experience in architectural design and detailing.
- Prior experience in designing and detailing retail spaces, brand experience centres, automotive showrooms, or hospitality environments where brand storytelling and technical coordination intersect.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite.
