Job summary

SYSTRA in Surat, Gujarat seeks a qualified Architect with hands-on experience in rail project construction. The role supports reviewing designs and drawings, validating geotechnical data, and ensuring tender compliance while coordinating BIM and civil works across station and depot buildings.

Ideal candidates hold a Graduate in Architecture with at least five years in rail transit construction, capable of contributing to architecture-related monitoring and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: Graduate in Architecture stream.
• Minimum experience: 5 years in construction of station building / OCC building / utility buildings / depot building in rail-based transit projects.

Responsibilities

• Review design/drawings and specifications for execution of civil/architecture works.
• Assist in proof checking geotechnical reports/data and provide technical inputs for design.
• Assist in proof checking civil works proposals, BIM, and drawings of civil works including structures and foundations.
• Ensure design complies with tender requirements, codes, regulations, and considers construction methodologies and resources.
• Assist in monitoring architecture-related works and related duties as required by PD/Client.

Role & responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing the design/drawings along with specifications for the execution of civil/architecture-related works.
• Assist in proof checking of geotechnical reports/data, providing the technical inputs for design etc.
• Assist in proof checking the technical civil works proposals, Building Information Model (BIM), drawings of civil works such as structures, foundations for utility buildings, inclusive of all enabling works, etc.
• Assist in ensuring that the recommended design complies with tender requirements, enactments, codes, and regulations relevant to the Civil Works and has taken into consideration the construction methodologies, associated temporary works, contractors' equipment, and available resources.
• Assist in overall monitoring and be in charge of architecture-related works.
• Assist in any other roles and responsibilities required to be performed to complete the project and assigned by the PD/Client

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum Qualification: Graduate in Architecture stream

Minimum Experience: 05 years of experience in construction of Station building /OCC building/utility buildings/ depot building in Rail-based Transit System project(s)*.
