Job summary

SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) Tiruchirappalli seeks an experienced Aptitude Trainer to train engineering students for campus placements. The role focuses on quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, data interpretation, critical thinking, and rapid problem solving.

You will develop short-cuts, teach fundamentals-to-advanced concepts, and use mock tests to build speed and accuracy for placement assessments and CAT-level challenges.

Qualifications

• 25 years of prior experience in aptitude training or related fields.
• Experience training engineering/technical students is highly desirable.
• Experience preparing students for placement assessments conducted by IT services, product companies, and other recruiters will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and structured aptitude training for engineering students.
• Train students in Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency, and Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills.
• Teach concepts from fundamentals to advanced application-based problems.
• Develop students' speed, accuracy, mental calculation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Use placement-oriented questions, puzzles, mock tests, and timed practice sessions.
• Conduct assessments and analyze student performance to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide effective doubt-clearing and remedial sessions.
• Create/adapt practice materials, question banks, quizzes, and mock tests.
• Prepare students for aptitude assessments conducted as part of company-specific campus recruitment.
• Keep training aligned with current placement-test patterns and difficulty levels.
• Track learner progress and provide targeted feedback to improve placement readiness.

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and passionate Aptitude Trainer to train engineering students for campus placement assessments and recruitment processes. The trainer will be responsible for developing students' Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Speed, and Accuracy. The ideal candidate should be able to simplify complex concepts, teach effective shortcuts and techniques, and prepare students to solve placement-level as well as advanced/CAT-level aptitude problems.

• Experience training engineering/technical students is highly desirable.
• Experience preparing students for placement assessments conducted by IT services, product companies, consulting firms, and other recruiters will be an advantage.
