As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

GOC’s Apprenticeship program will build and expand talent for the business process extended workforce market in India. Apprentices will learn, gain on-the-job training, develop meaningful professional experiences, establish a sense of community, and job readiness toward entry-level career opportunities.

As an Apprentice Program Manager, you will ensure the success and quality of the India apprentice program, strategize with operations and enablement leaders to identify workflows, enable all elements of the program, develop strategies to navigate and manage the apprentice life-cycle in partnership with appropriate enablement teams, partner with stakeholders on shared priorities, and support apprentices and managers throughout their time at Google.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own essential bodies of work supporting the program (e.g., manager experience, India impact and storytelling, ecosystem and industry efforts, etc.). Lead effective, strategic communications directed toward a variety of stakeholder groups/audiences in order to share and solicit information depending on the need.
• Establish key program metrics based on technical or program needs, manage cross-functional teams and drive action to ensure program success. Develop, delegate, and lead corrective actions to address complex problems and organizational challenges. Identify, collect and track key cross-organization metrics for program or project impact, including program/project participation and success, leveraging metrics to drive results.
• Collaborate with team members and/or key stakeholders to understand or identify work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss cross-organization program impact.
• Deliver strategy, operationalization, and continuous improvement of the program.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in program or project management.
• 7 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience delivering results through successful program design and implementation.
• Experience working with early-career individuals.
• Knowledge of the education and workforce development landscape related to apprenticeship programs.
• Expertise in managing long-term cross-functional projects and stakeholder relationships, with the ability to think strategically while maintaining meticulous attention to detail through effective problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative in ambiguous situations, and proactively propose/execute solutions for identified problems.
• Ability to build trust with stakeholders, work well with others, and actively contributes to team success.
