Saraswat Co invites applications for the Apprentice Junior Officer position at our Kolhapur-based branches. The role blends clerical duties with sales of banking products and meeting marketing targets.

Selected apprentices will work under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) for one year, with a monthly stipend of Rs.20,000. After successful completion, absorption as Junior Officer (Marketing & Operations) may be considered based on performance.

Job description

POSITION :- Apprentice Junior Officer

PROFILE :-

Apprentice Junior Officers are required to perform all duties which are of a clerical nature. They are required to canvass and sell the products of the Bank along with their counter duties. They are required to achieve the marketing targets assigned to them.

ROLE :-

Performs the role of Maker for transactions pertaining to Account Opening/ Clearing/ Cash/ Term Deposits/ Demat/ Lockers/ Loans/ Digital Banking/ Marketing of products.

RESPONSIBILTIES :-

Marketing :

• To source leads and develop prospects and new clients to sell banking services and third-party products as per assigned marketing targets.
• To contribute with the team in any campaign, drive or project of the Bank for achievement of business goals.

Operations

• To attend to the customers at the branch for account opening and guide them through the systems and processes.
• To facilitate branch banking transactions of customers through physical interaction as well as digital intervention.
• To enter transactions in the software of the Bank for branch banking and allied functions.
• To maintain various books of accounts and registers such as limit register, hypothecation register (loan related), send notices and reminders for recovery of overdue, extraction of interest certificates, etc.
• To work as Cashier, carry out duties incidental to maintenance of books of accounts, registers such as torn and soiled notes register, key exchange register, etc.
• To carry out the routine procedures in case of inward and outward clearing including acceptance of local cheques deposited for collection, affixing the necessary stamps, entering the particulars in the registers, to prepare pattis, schedules etc. and ensure that every cheque received for collection goes to the next available clearing, tallying the outward and inward clearing, recording dispatch, relodgement as may be instructed by Branch Manager / Officer-in-charge of cheques returned unpaid.
• To perform any specific role related to front office, recovery, etc. as per the business requirements.
• Any other work, as assigned by superiors and falling within the ambit of grade.

MONTHLY STIPEND :-

Rs.20,000/- per month

LOCATION :-

Kolhapur, Satara, Hubli, Dharwad, Sangli, Belgaum, Karad

Note :

The candidates will be taken as Apprentices under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS). They will be on payroll of the Implementing Agency for a period of one year.

On completion of one year, they will be in consideration for absorption on the payroll of the Bank as Junior Officer (Marketing & Operations) with a compensation of Rs. 4.23 LPA depending on their performance and meeting the marketing targets assigned.
