Job summary

Standard Chartered India is inviting applications for a Global Support Functions Apprentice in Bengaluru for a 12-month programme. You will gain real responsibility from day one, contributing to risk, operations and support for technology, people and business functions.

You’ll build technical, analytical and problem-solving skills while learning how data, processes and Excel-based workflows drive banking outcomes in a global organisation.

Qualifications

  • Graduated from college in 2025 or 2026.
  • Academic eligibility: Bachelor level three-year undergraduate programs (B.Com, BBA, BBM, BMS or equivalent).
  • Candidates pursuing/holding a PG qualification (MBA, M.Com, PGDM or equivalent) are not eligible.
  • Have the legal right to work in India.
  • Strong academics and active involvement beyond the classroom.
  • Be comfortable working with data and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate integrity and a strong sense of responsibility.

Global Support Functions Apprentice - India

Our 12 Months Apprenticeship Programmeis designed to give you real responsibility from day one, while building the skills and experience to start your career in a global bank.

Youwon’tjustobservehow a global bankoperates–you'llcontribute to the teams that keep it running, evolving and ready for the future. From managing risk and strengthening our operations to supporting our people, technology and business, our Global Support Functions play a critical role in helping the Bank perform at its best.

Throughout the programme,you’ll:

  • Take ownership of meaningful work and contribute to real business priorities
  • Build technical,analyticaland problem-solving skillsthrough hands-on experience
  • Learn how data, technology and processes are used to improve the way we work
  • Develop your communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills
  • Learn from experienced colleagues and gain exposure to senior leaders

By the end of the programme,you’llhave a better understanding of how a global bank works, the role your function plays in its success, and where your skills and ambitions could take you next.

What we’re looking For

We'relookingfor curious, driven individuals who want to learn how global banking works in practice.

You should:
  • Have graduated from college in 2025 or 2026.
  • Academic eligibility: Bacgelor's degree graduates in B.Com, BBA, BBM, BMS and other equivalent three-year undergraduate programs
  • Candidates pursuing or holding a PG qualification (eg., MBA, M.Com, PGDM or equivalent degree are not eligible)
  • Have the legal right to work in India
  • Have strong academic performance and be actively involved beyond the classroom
  • Be confident working with data and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Be detail-oriented,organisedand comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate integrity anda strong senseof responsibility

No prior banking experience isrequired– just the motivation to learn and contribute.
