Qualifications

  • This role is offered as an Apprenticeship position.
  • Candidates must not have been previously enrolled in any apprenticeship program with other companies.
  • Willingness to work from the Nellore generator plant for 12 months.
  • Strong interest and readiness to upskill in generator winding and generator assembly activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general production activities in a manufacturing or field site environment.
  • Assemble finished components into completed products per quality standards.
  • Process batches including mechanical and chemical processing steps.
  • Set up and operate machine tools to make parts and assemblies.
  • Carry out surface finishing such as painting, plating, and polishing.
  • Package materials or finished goods for protection and handling.

A Snapshot of Your Day

You will be part of the Production & Skilled Trades job family, responsible for supporting production activities in a manufacturing or field site environment with a focus on optimizing resource utilization, minimizing costs, and maintaining defined quality standards. Your day will involve contributing to production operations that transform tangible inputs such as raw materials and semi-finished goods, as well as intangible inputs such as ideas, information, and know-how, into finished products or services. You will support planning and execution of production activities, operate and maintain machines and equipment, and contribute to effective production schedules to ensure efficient use of labor, tools, plant, and equipment within a structured manufacturing environment.

How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Perform general production manufacturing activities in a manufacturing or field site environment.
  • Assemble finished components or parts into completed products in line with defined quality standards.
  • Process manufacturing batches of bulk materials or ingredients, including mechanical processing activities such as mixing, grinding, separating, and filtering, as well as chemical processing activities involving changes in chemical properties, temperature, or pressure.
  • Set up and operate machine tools to convert materials into parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.
  • Carry out surface finishing activities on parts, components, and assemblies, including washing, painting, plating, anti-corrosion coating, hardening, polishing, engraving, and etching.
  • Package materials or finished goods into appropriate containers for protection, display, and handling purposes.
