Job summary

Flowserve Corporation is seeking an Applications Engineer to develop solutions for customers and partners in industrial and special applications. You will work with sales, development and other specialists to size, specify and price actuators, and prepare cost-effective quotations.

The role involves knowledge of Flowserve product lines, interfacing with customers, and potential international travel for bid clarification.

Qualifications

• BS or BA Degree in a relevant field.
• Ideally one year of relevant experience.
• Experience as an Applications Engineer or similar role (e.g., inside Sales Representative, Engineer).
• Good communication skills.
• Strong technician acumen and analytical thinking.
• SAP knowledge and MS Office experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotations by evaluating customers’ requirements and provide quotation responses by sizing, specifying and pricing actuators in accordance with customers’ specifications.
• Prepare technically sound and cost-effective quotations to contribute to sales and bookings growth.
• Prepare detailed, complete and correct purchase order transfer files for transfer into manufacturing operations.
• Participate in bid clarification meetings with customers (international travel).
• Develop understanding of Flowserve product lines to enhance application engineering, quotation generation and sales support.

Role summary:

Flowserve is looking for a technically and commercially experienced salesperson in the office (Applications Engineer). In this function you will develop solutions for customers and partners for industrial and special applications.

You will act as a product specialist (actuator product portfolio) in a team and work closely with the sales, development, and other specialist departments at the site.

Your role:

• Prepare quotations by evaluating customers’ requirements and provide quotation responses by sizing, specifying and pricing actuators in accordance with customers’ specifications

• Prepare technically sound and cost-effective quotations, in order to contribute to obtaining related sales and bookings growth

• Prepare detailed, complete and correct purchase order transfer files for proper transfer into our respective manufacturing operations

• Participate in bid clarification meetings with the customers (international travel required)

• Develop a keen understanding of the Flowserve product lines and their respective operations to enhance application engineering, quotation generation and sales support efforts

Your profile:

• BS or BA Degree in relevant field

• Ideally one year of relevant experience

• Experience as an Applications Engineer or similar role such as, inside Sales Representative, Engineer

• Good communication skills

• Strong technician acumen and analytical thinking

• SAP knowledge Experience in dealing with common MS Office applications
