Job summary

Flowserve Corporation is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the site Order Engineering team in Tamil Nadu. The role focuses on preparing schedules, aligning engineering resources, and executing technical activities to fulfill customer orders.

The incumbent will perform detailed layout and mechanical design, conduct routine engineering analysis, and provide technical guidance to internal functions, while coordinating resources across multiple projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher in engineering with 6+ years in project engineering.
  • Experience in CAD, 3D design and engineering documentation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Prepare schedules and align engineering resources for orders.
  • Perform detailed layout and mechanical design and routine analysis.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams and coordinate resources across projects.
  • Support supply chain and production with technical input and deviations.

Job Summary:

This role is part of the site Order Engineering team responsible for preparing schedules, aligning engineering resources, and completing technical activities related to fulfilling customer orders. Additional responsibilities include quotation support, routine engineering analysis, detailed layout/mechanical design, and operations support ( i.e. manufacturing, supply chain, quality, warranty). The incumbent reports to the Order Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Support proposal activities include conducting pre-engineering work, to determine technical scope, risk analysis and/or make equipment selection outside of eCPQ.
  • Review project specifications from the order transfer file.
  • Perform detailed layout and mechanical design including conducting routine engineering analysis, design calculation and simulation.
  • Provide primary customer interface / support to other internal functions, providing technical guidance to clarify project requirements.
  • Coordinate Order Engineering resources and direct activities in multiple projects.
  • Provide technical support to supply chain including review vendor and buyout drawings.
  • Support production by providing tactical advice and guidance on specification of deviations and waivers and other activities where required.
  • Review quality plans.
  • Provide commissioning and warranty support as required.
  • Review complete technical documentation packages to validate product performance against customer requirements and suggest modifications where required.
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Complete technical fulfilment of job requirements.
  • Meet project timelines for engineering documentation and gather approvals on the first issue.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction, accuracy and timeliness of customer documentation.
  • Provide rework or resubmittal documentation in agreed upon cycles to obtain approvals.
  • Provide non-conformance report resolutions for contract/customer specification issues.
Preferred Experience:
  • Engineering degree or equivalent and minimum 6 + years' experience in project engineering.
  • Computer-Assisted Design, 3-Dimensional Design, Auto-Cad & SolidWorks.
  • Understanding engineering documentation, drafting, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing.
  • Effective oral and written communications.
  • Collaborative interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced project management tools, methods and applications.
  • Accountability and execution for completing work timely and specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of information technology tools including Windows, Microsoft Office p roducts and other related tools.
  • Knowledge of analysis tools.
  • Basic fluency in the English language.
