Job summary

Viavi Solutions is seeking a motivated QA Engineer to join its Quality Assurance team in Pune. You will perform manual testing, automation script execution, defect tracking, and test case management, using HP ALM/HPQC, UFT/QTP, and VB Script.

You will collaborate with BAs, developers, and other QA members to ensure quality across systems. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of testing methodologies, data validation, API testing (Postman), and agile practices, with good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on manual and automated testing experience.
• Solid understanding of SDLC/STLC concepts and test design.
• Experience with HP ALM/HPQC, UFT/QTP, and VB Script.
• Knowledge of data validation and SQL queries for testing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and execute test cases and scenarios.
• Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, and Sanity Testing.
• Log and track defects using HPALM/HPQC; verify fixes.
• Execute automation scripts and analyze results.
• Participate in requirement reviews and coordinate with BAs, devs, and QA.
• Maintain test docs, evidence, and test execution reports.
