Job summary

Jobtailor in Bengaluru, India is seeking an experienced Enterprise Application Support specialist to ensure stable, high-performance operation of clinical and laboratory systems. You will implement, deploy, test, and maintain enterprise software, scripts, and configurations while coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux, Oracle/SQL Server, and SQL query authoring, plus a strong focus on reliability and problem-solving.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
3+ years of comparable experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience
General understanding of server administration and architecture, including Windows Server and Linux
Experience with Docker or Podman
Ability to interact with relational databases, primarily Oracle and some SQL Server
Ability to author SQL-based queries and troubleshoot PL/SQL packages
Support knowledge of the applications/technology being supported
Moderate support knowledge of desktop operating systems and desktop productivity applications, including MS Office, MS Project, and MS Visio
Ability to diagnose problems and define, resolve, and coordinate implementation of solutions with other groups
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of application problems, working with development, systems/network administration, other departments, or software vendors as needed
Self-motivated with initiative to see issue resolution through to completion
Business-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills
Positive attitude with commitment to high-quality work
Demonstrated competency to learn new technical skills

Responsibilities

Provide skilled implementation, operational, and maintenance support for enterprise applications
Maintain a stable systems environment with minimal downtime and maximum performance
Support daily operation of clinical and/or corporate systems
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application-specific support issues
Install and maintain enterprise and/or laboratory application software, dedicated hardware, application code deployments, and configuration changes
Write scripts to support appropriate deployment of applications and patches
Develop methods for testing applications after deployment
Execute change requests and qualifications
Liaise with internal groups and vendors
Liaise with business groups to determine long-term issue resolution
Recommend improvements to existing processes and methods to sustain systems performance
Support analytical software, associated dedicated hardware, and server-based laboratory applications where applicable
