Job summary

FIS is seeking an Application Support engineer in Pune to provide technical support for a production processing environment and to manage deployment, monitoring, and incident resolution. The role requires 2-4 years in SRE with Linux, SQL/Oracle, and scripting.

The candidate will work on installations, maintenance of components, and will collaborate with upstream/downstream vendors while operating in a 24/7 rotating shift model. Knowledge of ITIL and web/server architectures is valued.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in site reliability engineering (SRE) in Linux environments.
• Experience in production support and ITIL processes.
• Proficiency with Unix commands and Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with application deployment, yum/rpm packages, and crontab scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support for a software production processing environment.
• Installs, maintains, and supports application components and third-party software.
• Detects, diagnoses and reports problems; analyzes and resolves incidents and known errors.
• Assists programming staff in analysis of application software amendments and performance.
• Works in 24/7 rotational shifts.

About the team:

Transfer Agency is a product that Shareholder record keeping activity for Mutual Fund transactions. This stream of information has to be stored, aggregated and analyzed interfacing with different upstream/downstream applications and vendors like Banks, CC, Stock Exchanges etc., Transfer Agency optimizes the Capital Stock Activity, Account Statements, Ledger Reports etc., in one central location.

What you will be doing:

• Provides technical support activities for a software production processing environment
• Installs, maintains and supports application/source code and/or its components and subsystems including third party software.
• Detects, diagnoses and reports related problems
• Analyzes and resolves incidents, problems or known errors related to failures in application and supporting software components
• Provides technical assistance to programming staff in the analysis of application software amends, performance and resource consumption
• Will be working in 24/7 Rotational Shifts

What you bring:

• Candidate should have 2 -4 years in experience in SRE with Linux, SQL/ Oracle, Scripting,
• Should have exp of Infrastructure setup, application deployment, ssl implementation, installation packages using yum, rpm, crontab scheduler
• Working Experience in Production support, Good Knowledge in Unix commands and Unix Shell Scripting
• Application Tools Putty
• DevOps tools Jenkins, Ansible, bitbucket
• Monitoring tools Splunk , Dynatrace
• Process knowledge on ITIL, SRE
• Good Knowledge in web server/app server architecture(Tomcat, IBM MQ)
