Job summary

Smart IMS Inc. is seeking an experienced Production/Application Support Engineer in Chennai to manage critical banking and credit card applications. You will monitor systems, investigate incidents, perform RCA, and support releases in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong Linux/Unix skills, SQL troubleshooting, and hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Elastic, Splunk, or AppDynamics. Proficiency with ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in production/application support in banking & credit card domain.
• Hands-on experience supporting critical production applications and resolving incidents within SLAs.
• Exposure to incident/problem management processes and RCA activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide Production/Application Support for banking and credit card applications.
• Monitor production systems and proactively identify issues.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve incidents within defined SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
• Support batch processing, job scheduling and application releases.
• Analyze application logs and database issues to ensure stability.
• Work with Linux/Unix environments and SQL databases.
• Utilize monitoring tools like Grafana, Kibana, Elastic, Splunk or AppDynamics.
• Use ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence for ticketing and incident tracking.
