Job summary

Cloudxtreme in Hyderabad seeks an Application SRE to support large-scale distributed systems, monitor and troubleshoot production services, and manage deployments using blue-green and canary strategies.

The role covers incident management, on-call duties, and cloud/Linux administration, with emphasis on SLIs and error budgets, along with scripting for automation.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of experience in application support or SRE
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems
• Proficient in incident management and on-call procedures
• Hands-on with Linux/Windows servers and cloud operations
• Familiarity with CI/CD, APM, monitoring and dashboards

Responsibilities

• Monitor production systems and respond to incidents
• Troubleshoot deployment failures in CI/CD pipelines
• Perform blue/green and canary deployments
• Manage disaster recovery, certificate renewals and password renewals
• Develop log queries and dashboards using APM tools

Application SRE Expected Skill Set:

1. Experience in supporting large-scale distributed systems
2. Expertise in Application and batch monitoring and troubleshooting
3. Expertise in Incident and problem management
4. Expertise in Production deployments (Blue-Green and Canary deployments) using CI/CD pipelines
5. Troubleshooting deployment failures (L1)
6. Experience supporting production maintenance activities such as DR, certificate renewals, and password renewals
7. Solid understanding of SLI, SLO, SLA, error budgets, and burn rate alerts
8. Expertise in APM tools, including writing log queries and building dashboards
9. Basic Shell and Python scripting skills
10. Linux/Windows server administration and troubleshooting (L1)
11. Cloud operations experience (L1)
12. Network, load balancer, and database failure troubleshooting (L1)
