Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services seeks an Application Packaging – PQA Analyst to join our IT delivery teams in Chennai/Bangalore/Hyderabad. The role focuses on packaging, PQA testing, deployment management, and quality assurance for enterprise applications.

You will perform functional, regression, and UAT validations, coordinate across DEV/UAT/PROD, and maintain packaging documentation, release notes, and test artifacts in line with ITIL practices.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in application packaging using MSI, App-V or MSIX.
• Experience in PQA testing and validation against enterprise standards.
• Hands-on deployment using SCCM/Intune/AdminStudio.
• Validate functional, regression, and UAT scenarios for packaged apps.
• Knowledge of install, upgrade, patch, rollback, uninstall validation.
• Experience with bug tracking tools (ADO).
• Understanding of compatibility and dependency analysis.
• Documentation of packaging standards, test cases, release notes.
• Experience with Windows 10/11 environments and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Perform PQA testing of packaged applications as per enterprise standards.
• Validate install, uninstall, upgrade, and rollback scenarios.
• Coordinate and execute deployment across DEV, UAT, and PROD environments.
• Identify, log, and track defects/bugs; work with packaging teams for resolution.
• Maintain test cases, test results, and packaging documentation.
• Ensure compliance with packaging standards and security policies.
• Collaborate with application owners, infra teams, and release management.
• Prepare and share testing and deployment reports.
• Support continuous improvement in packaging/testing processes.

• Ability to perform functional, regression, and user acceptance validation for packaged applications
