Job summary

VMC Soft Technologies, Inc. in Chennai is seeking a packaging specialist to configure and deploy Windows application packages using SCCM, Intune, and MSIX. You will create and update MSI/MSIX packages, automate with PowerShell, and coordinate with application owners to meet deployment requirements.

The role requires 4-6 years of hands-on experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to document processes. Weekend shifts may be required for critical releases and patching cycles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–6 years of hands-on experience in enterprise packaging.
• Experience packaging with MSI/MSIX and repackaging EXE files.
• Strong knowledge of SCCM/Intune deployment and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting for packaging automation.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and GPO for endpoint management.
• Ability to follow enterprise packaging standards and document processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure application packages for deployment via SCCM/Intune.
• Create new packages and update existing ones for deployments.
• Perform installation, deployment, and user testing of applications.
• Coordinate with application owners on packaging and deployment requirements.
• Document packaging and deployment processes and runbooks.
• Provide level 2/3 support for package deployment issues.

Hands-on experience in application packaging (MSI| MSIX| EXE repackaging)

• Strong experience with SCCMMECM for application deployment and troubleshooting
• Experience with Microsoft Intune (Win32 apps| MSIX deployment| policies)
• Hands-on experience in Chocolatey package creation (.nupkg) and deployment
• Knowledge of Chocolatey Server internal repository management
• PowerShell scripting for packaging automation and deployment
• Understanding of Windows Installer architecture troubleshooting
• Experience in application testing (UAT| QA| Production validation)
• Knowledge of Active Directory| GPO| endpoint management
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Experience in handling Request (ADO Cards)
