Job summary

Dinex Emission Solutions India is seeking a Catalyst Application Engineer to size and select catalysts fitting customer emission requirements. You will prepare technical drawings, provide product knowledge, and support ATS catalyst applications in automotive emissions.

You will collaborate with R&D and global sales, collect data for proposals, support process emission data analysis, and document all technical communications with customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or similar relevant education.
• 3-5 years of work experience in engine emission reduction technologies in catalyst development, testing and/or catalyst design.
• Experience with ATS systems, catalyst products and function for emissions of either lean burn or stoichiometric combustion engines.
• Experience with catalyst application engineering in automotive for catalyst calibration and technical sales.
• Experience with product development for catalyst product is considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of quality standards from the automotive industry.
• Experience and knowledge with preparing technical drawings with SolidWorks or similar software.
• Experience and knowledge with Microsoft Office package.
• Strong team player with ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in oral and written English.
• Good verbal, written, presentation and communication skills.
• Analytic expertise and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Catalyst application engineering - Product sizing and selection to fit customer emission.
• Preparation of catalyst technical drawings with product specifications and tolerances.
• Technical support to customers in terms of product knowledge and product functionality on customer applications for ATS catalysts.
• Close collaboration with the R&D organisation to keep updated with the latest catalyst development concepts and with the global sales team to provide hands-on technical expertise to the commercial discussions.
• Data collection for the purpose of product selection Technical proposal preparation and submission.
• Application support - Process emission data from customer applications and follow-up/support on any open topics.
• Utilisation of processed data to identify problem areas and work out potential solutions together with global team.
• Working cross-functionally with sales and engineering.
• Build relationship with counterpart figures on customer side and collect information relevant for the development work by R&D.
• Ensure proper documentation of all commercial and technical matters and written communication to customers.
