Job summary

questW in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Field Application Engineer to drive adhesive solutions for aerospace, rail and defense customers. You will advise on tailored product applications, demonstrate new products, and troubleshoot issues on site.

You will conduct technical visits, collect feedback, and report outcomes in CRM/LIM, while coaching field sales and customer teams. Strong English, independent work, and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years in adhesive applications within aerospace / rail / aviation / defense.
• Experience in Aviation and Rail industry is an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently and maintain organized records/reports.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Solution oriented and team player.
• Advanced user of MS Office applications and understanding of products related to assigned technologies.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for product recommendations, customized product applications, new product demonstrations and troubleshooting for customers
• Consult customers on solutions generating value for their use cases
• Perform technical visits (meetings, audits, demonstrations, troubleshooting) for customers with CRM/LIM documentation
• Work with application equipment to provide solutions to enhance adhesive processes
• Leverage customer feedback to drive optimization in customer service and identify new business opportunities for sales colleagues
• Reports on quality issues / customers' claims to relevant parts of the organization
• Drive customer experience by optimizing automated and remote interactions
• Identify opportunities to create customer value in remote settings by leveraging remote interaction tools (e.g. AR, VR)
• May supervise the laboratory work (incl. prioritization) for samples coming from customers, and report technical results to customers
• Responsible for products application / technical training and coaching of field sales forces and customers
• Direct communication with sales, marketing, PD, Innovation, AE field team or project team members
• Promote internally SBU innovations and best learnings cross accounts
• Recommend and implement process improvements in adhesive dispensing, curing, and bonding techniques to increase yield and reduce costs. Use appropriate tools to develop and present value proposition to customer
• Take ownership of regional lab and lab maintenance in accordance with standard.

Skills
