You will work with software, electrical and mechanical teams, prepare application documentation, execute test plans, and ensure solutions are installed, validated, and optimized at customer sites, while contributing to continuous improvement and supporting pre- and post-sales

Role Description

The Application Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. This role involves providing technical expertise to enable Sales teams to fully understand customer needs, develop appropriate solutions, and act as a key technical interface with the customer. The Application Engineer will work closely with customers to understand their technical needs, provide hands‑on demonstrations, troubleshoot issues, and deliver technical support throughout the solution lifecycle. Daily tasks include collaborating with software, electrical, and mechanical teams, preparing application documentation, executing test plans, and ensuring solutions are installed, validated, and optimized at customer sites. The role also includes contributing to continuous improvement of test setups, providing feedback to product development, and supporting pre- and post-sales activities with clear technical guidance.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Technical Support skills, including customer-facing problem solving, troubleshooting, and clear technical communication.
• Candidates should promotes solutions, products, technologies, and competencies to customers and collects information on customer needs, technology trends, and market developments. Acts as a technical/solution expert in customer meetings.
• Candidates should translates customer needs into clear technical requirements and coordinates with relevant internal teams to develop appropriate solutions.
• Candidates should participates in the quotation and RFQ process by providing technical inputs and preparing technical descriptions, specifications, and solution requirements.
• Candidates should coordinates with local and global teams to ensure that agreed technical solutions and services are delivered according to customer requirements.
• Candidates should provides pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers and coordinates technical problem‑solving with relevant internal teams.
• Candidates should provides product training, technical guidance, and user support to customers as required.
• Candidates should contributes to customer delivery projects and ensures smooth and effective communication between customers and internal teams throughout the project.
• Candidates should understands customer technology roadmaps and future requirements and identifies potential opportunities for Orbis Systems' products, solutions, engineering capabilities, and services.
• Candidates should maintains required documentation and reporting and provides regular updates on customer requirements, RFQs, technical activities, project status, and identified business.
• Relevant degree in engineering (e.g., Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications) or a closely related field.
• Experience with RF test equipment, 5G or wireless communication systems, and automated test environments is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, manage multiple projects, and adapt to evolving customer requirements.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in spoken and written English.
