Job summary

3M India Limited is seeking an Application Engineer to support the Commercial Solutions segment with polymer science knowledge and product development experience. You will translate customer needs into actionable specifications and collaborate with sales teams at customer sites.

The role requires travel domestically, strong communication, and the ability to learn new materials and processes related to self-adhesive films and polymers. Proficiency in MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge on self-adhesive films, polymer chemistry, formulations.
• Product development and lab testing skills, should be conversant with new product commercialization process.
• Strong planning and organization skills.
• Ability to understand technical subject matter or willingness to learn.
• Proficient with PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other related software programs.

• Understand in depth 3M's offering and use that knowledge to help achieve objectives for the division.
• Meeting brand owners, channel partners, and end customers, guiding them with the right product and generating specifications to help them procure the appropriate material
• Lead technical engagement with key customers and channel partners.
• Understand market trends, collaborate with internal team to work on new product ideas, technology and product development.
• Travel domestically.
• Work at customer locations and sites.
• Have positive attitude and willingness to learn. Be a team player and work in collaboration with 3M employees and channel partners.
