The role combines hands-on development with disciplined production support, testing, release management and technical documentation responsibilities. Key responsibilities • Design, develop, enhance and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL II, CICS, DB2, TSO, JCL/SDF and related enterprise technologies. • Analyse approved business and functional requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable and supportable technical solutions. • Contribute to and review BRD, FDS, HLD and LLD documentation, with particular ownership of mainframe design and implementation detail. • Provide application support, system monitoring and production support across the incident lifecycle. • Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions and support problem-management activities. • Manage batch jobs, application interfaces, operational dependencies and production control requirements. • Plan and execute unit testing; support SIT, UAT and regression testing; resolve defects and maintain traceability to requirements. • Support release planning, deployment, rollback readiness and post-deployment validation in line with established controls. • Create and maintain technical documentation, source specifications, test cases, runbooks and knowledge-transfer materials. • Collaborate with business analysts, application teams, integration teams, infrastructure teams and service-management stakeholders. Required skills and experience • Proven hands-on experience in mainframe application development, enhancement and support. • Strong working knowledge of COBOL II, CICS, DB2, TSO and JCL/SDF. • Experience with online and batch processing, data handling, job scheduling and production troubleshooting. • Practical experience in incident management, root cause analysis, monitoring, release control and production support. • Ability to interpret business and solution documentation and convert designs into robust technical components. • Experience supporting unit testing, SIT, UAT, regression testing and controlled deployment activities. • Relevant domain-specific experience appropriate to the activated service order and the service function being delivered. • Strong verbal and written English communication skills. • Role-relevant certification such as ITIL, PMP, CISA, TOGAF, cloud/vendor certification or an equivalent credential, where applicable. • Experience working in regulated, complex or high-availability enterprise environments. • Exposure to mainframe integration wAt a GlanceWork ModeHybridEmploymentFull-timeExperience5–8 yrsOpenings1LocationDelhiDeadlineOct 15, 2026[ Hiring process ]What to expectFour stages, typically completed within 2–3 weeks.
