Persistent Systems is seeking a technically strong C#.NET Desktop Application Developer to build enterprise-grade Windows applications using WinForms and WPF. The role emphasizes debugging, client interaction, and Agile delivery within a Pune-based team.

Responsibilities include design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of desktop solutions with SSRS reporting knowledge as an added advantage.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of desktop application development experience.
• Proficiency in C#.NET, WinForms and WPF.
• Experience debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues.
• Strong client interaction and agile delivery experience.
• Familiarity with source control and CI/CD tools.

We are looking for a technically strong C#.NET Desktop Application Developer with expertise in WinForms and WPF to build and maintain enterprise-grade Windows applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working directly with clients in an Agile development environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain desktop applications using C#.NET, WinForms, and WPF.


• Build high-performance, scalable, and user-friendly Windows applications.


• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex application issues.


• Analyze system requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.


• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather requirements and provide project updates.


• Participate in application design, development, testing, and deployment activities.


• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.


• Optimize application performance, stability, and maintainability.


• Work with version control, build automation, and project management tools.


• Support defect analysis, root cause investigation, and issue resolution.


• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.


• Develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides.


• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and engineering practices.


• Support reporting solutions using SSRS and RDL when required.

Expertise You’ll Bring:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Desktop Application Development.


• Hands-on experience with WinForms development.


• Strong experience in WPF application development.


• Deep understanding of Windows operating systems and desktop technologies.


• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting capabilities for Windows applications.


• Experience analysing and resolving complex production issues.


• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.


• Experience with Bitbucket for source code management.


• Familiarity with Jenkins for build and deployment automation.


• Experience using Jira for issue tracking and project management.


• Strong communication and presentation skills.


• Proven ability to interact directly with clients and stakeholders.


• Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.


• Ability to work independently as an individual contributor.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and high-quality code.


• Knowledge of SSRS and RDL reporting tools is an added advantage.


• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


• Willingness to work from the Pune office and support client-facing engagements.
