Job summary

Persistent Systems Limited is seeking an experienced Appian Solution Architect to lead enterprise-scale Appian BPM solutions. You will design architectures, mentor teams, and deliver automation aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities include process modeling, SAIl interfaces, data fabric, and integration with REST/SOAP. You will drive standards, CI/CD, and governance while collaborating with stakeholders across global teams.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years IT experience with at least 5+ years in Appian development.
• Strong expertise in Appian BPM platform architecture and app development.
• Hands-on with SAIL Interfaces, Records, Data Fabric, Process Models, Reports.
• Experience leading technical teams and conducting architecture reviews.

We are seeking an experienced Appian Solution Architect to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-scale Appian BPM solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Appian application development, solution architecture, system integrations, and BPM implementations. This role will be responsible for defining scalable application architectures, driving technical excellence, mentoring development teams, and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver innovative process automation solutions that align with organizational objectives.

What You'll Do:

• Design and architect enterprise-grade Appian BPM solutions aligned with business and technology objectives.
• Develop and implement Appian components including Process Models, SAIL Interfaces, Records, Reports, and Sites.
• Design scalable, secure, reusable, and high-performing application architectures.
• Lead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and solution workshops.
• Build and maintain integrations with external applications using REST APIs, SOAP services, databases, and web services.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Define application architecture standards, governance models, and best practices.
• Conduct technical reviews and code reviews to ensure development quality and adherence to Appian standards.
• Drive performance optimization, troubleshooting, and platform enhancements.
• Design and implement data models, integrations, and workflow automation processes.
• Establish deployment strategies and CI/CD practices for Appian applications.
• Support Agile delivery processes including estimations, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and solution reviews.
• Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Mentor and guide Appian developers and technical teams.
• Ensure security, scalability, maintainability, and compliance of Appian solutions.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and enterprise architecture teams.
• Support production deployments, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging Appian capabilities and recommend adoption where appropriate.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 8 to 12 years of overall IT experience with at least 5+ years of Appian development experience.
• Strong expertise in Appian BPM platform architecture and application development.
• Extensive hands-on experience with SAIL Interfaces, Records, Data Fabric, Process Models, Reports, and Integrations.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale Appian solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Appian architecture, development standards, and best practices.
• Experience integrating Appian with enterprise applications using REST APIs, SOAP services, and databases.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Knowledge of Appian deployment strategies, release management, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and software development lifecycle methodologies.
• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring developers.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization capabilities.
• Experience conducting architecture reviews and technical governance activities.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
