Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development with 6+ years in Appian.

• Strong knowledge of Appian integrations (REST, Web Services, messaging).
• Experience with Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL/MySQL databases.
• Familiar with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and SDLC.
• Excellent communication and leadership; client-facing.
• Appian certifications at senior/lead/architect level preferred.

Job Summary

Appbay Technologies is seeking an experienced Appian Architect to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-grade business applications using the Appian Low-Code Platform. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Appian architecture, enterprise integrations, solution design, and digital transformation initiatives. This role requires strong technical leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and delivery teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the overall solution architecture for Appian-based applications and enterprise platforms.
• Lead architecture discussions, technical workshops, and solution design sessions with clients and stakeholders.
• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable Appian solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Establish architecture standards, development frameworks, governance models, and best practices for Appian implementations.
• Design and oversee complex integrations with enterprise systems, databases, APIs, cloud services, and third-party applications.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Review technical designs, code quality, application performance, and security compliance across projects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Lead Developers, Senior Developers, and development teams.
• Drive performance optimization, application scalability, and platform governance initiatives.
• Participate in effort estimation, solution planning, risk assessment, and technical proposal creation.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of overall software development experience with at least 6+ years of hands‑on Appian development and architecture experience.
• Deep expertise in Appian SAIL, Process Modeling, Expression Rules, Records, Reports, Data Fabric, Sites, and Enterprise Architecture.
• Strong experience in designing enterprise‑scale Appian solutions and digital transformation programs.
• Extensive knowledge of Appian integration capabilities, including REST APIs, Web Services, Connected Systems, Messaging Services, and third‑party integrations.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, solution design patterns, and system scalability.
• Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Proven experience defining architecture standards, governance frameworks, and technical roadmaps.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and SDLC processes.
• Excellent communication, client‑facing, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Appian Senior Developer, Lead Developer, or Architect‑level certifications are highly preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Lending, Insurance, Healthcare, or other enterprise domains.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Appian AI, Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), Process Mining, and Automation solutions.
• Exposure to enterprise security frameworks, compliance standards, and governance practices.
• Experience supporting pre‑sales, solution consulting, and technical proposal development.
