Mphasis Ltd in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Android Project Lead to drive a banking-domain mobile project. You will guide architecture, code quality, and delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet client goals.

The role requires 6–12 years of hands-on Android experience, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, CI/CD, and agile Scrum. You will mentor engineers, write tests, and ensure scalable, user-friendly mobile experiences.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years of Android development experience.
• Strong Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and knowledge of modern Android architecture patterns.
• Experience with unit tests (JUnit, MockK) and UI tests (Paparazzi) is a plus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD (GitLab) and source control.
• Agile/Scrum experience in a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Lead Android project delivery and ensure code quality and timely milestones.
• Architect, design, and guide mobile solutions for banking-domain requirements.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices in testing, performance, and accessibility.

Job Summary – An Android Developer to manage a critical project for one of our biggest clients in banking domain. The Individual should be passionate about technology, experienced in developing and managing cutting edge technology applications. Years of experience needed 6 to 12 yrs Location - Bangalore

Technical Skills

Significant experience developing Android apps. Up-to-date knowledge of Kotlin and Jetpack Compose and the drive to stay abreast of the latest features. A good understanding of architecture and design patterns such as Clean Architecture, MVVM, SOLID principles, etc. An understanding of the native framework(s) for Android application development. Ability to write the Unit test cases using, for example, Junit, Mockk. Knowledge on writing screenshot/snapshot tests using paparazzi & android screenshot testing frameworks will be an added advantage. Ability to debug the code using the Android Studio debugging & profiling tools. Hands on experience using any Source Code Management Tools. A good understanding of CI/CD, ideally using GitLab, and how to build and maintain pipelines. Knowledge on Accessibility (W3C) and Analytics will be an added advantage. A product mindset and the desire to produce positive customer outcomes. A passion for delivering high-quality user experiences that offer intuitive journeys to achieve user goals. The confidence to discuss and promote your thoughts and ideas to people at all levels. Understanding and experience of working in a Scrum team utilising Agile best practices.
