Android Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Android Lead to lead the architecture, development, technical standards, security, performance, and delivery of native Android applications. The candidate will work closely with Backend, UX, QA, and Release teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Android application architecture, technical design, development standards, and delivery.
• Define scalable, maintainable, and reusable native Android architecture and development practices.
• Drive development using Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Establish coding standards, best practices, and guidelines for Android development.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Own application security, performance, stability, and overall quality.
• Implement secure mobile development practices, including secure data handling, authentication, authorization, and protection of sensitive information.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues related to application performance, stability, and scalability.
• Optimize application performance, including startup time, memory usage, UI responsiveness, and network/API efficiency.
• Ensure applications are compatible across supported Android versions and devices.
• Collaborate closely with Backend teams for API integration and technical dependencies.
• Work with UX/UI teams to ensure consistent, responsive, and user-friendly mobile experiences.
• Coordinate with QA teams on testing strategy, defect resolution, regression testing, and release readiness.
• Work with Release/DevOps teams to support build, deployment, versioning, and production releases.

Required Technical Skills
