Job summary

Experis is seeking an AOSP/Android Platform Developer (Middleware & Framework) for Noida on a Hybrid contract-to-hire basis. You will port and validate security enhancements to Android 15 across multiple SoCs, ensuring compatibility, stability, and security.

Immediate to 15 days notice period preferred. The role demands 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong C/C++, Java, and deep knowledge of Android security architecture and build systems.

Qualifications

• 35 years of hands-on experience in AOSP/Android platform development.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Java at the Android system level.
• Experience with Android build systems (Soong/Make) and custom ROM/image generation.
• Good understanding of Android security architecture (SELinux, sepolicy, permissions, Keystore, Verified Boot).
• Experience with HAL, Binder, HIDL, AIDL, native services, and framework-to-HAL interactions.
• Proficiency in debugging using ADB, Logcat, Systrace, and native debugging tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing custom security features implemented on legacy Android middleware and map them to equivalent components in Android 15.
• Port and re-implement middleware-level security enhancements by addressing API changes, SELinux policy updates, and deprecated interfaces.
• Adapt, integrate, and validate the implementation across multiple SoC platforms, including Qualcomm and MediaTek.
• Build, flash, and debug custom AOSP images using Android build systems and vendor-specific configurations.
