Job summary

Alten is seeking an Android HMI Developer in Pune, India to work on SystemUI, Launcher and UI widgets. You will use Java/Kotlin with C/C++ basics to build and maintain system and vendor apps, ensuring robust lifecycle management and crash-free operation.

The role involves developing with MVP/MVVM architecture, leveraging Android Studio, IPC, Car Services, and the Android Build System to deliver reliable automotive software solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with SystemUI, Launcher and UI widgets library.
• Proficient in Java/Kotlin with C/C++ basics.
• Knowledge of Android OS, AOSP, Automotive, Vendor/System/Privileged Apps, and HAL services.
• Experience with MVP/MVVM architectures and Android Architecture components.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android HMI components including Priv-App and vendor apps.
• Handle permissions, lifecycle, and Android components to ensure crash-free apps.
• Work with IPC, Car Services, Android Build System and Android Studio tooling.

Product Experience & Technical Expertise:

• User experience: SystemUI, Launcher, UI widgets library
• Main programming language skills: Java/Kotlin, C++, C
• Knowledge of Android OS, AOSP, Automotive, Vendor/System/Privileged Applications, .mk/.bp file implementation, Android Profiler, Car Services, IPC communication, Exception Handling, Memory Leakage, Android Build System, Android Architecture, Android Multimedia Framework, Android Framework API CAR Framework, HIDL and HAL services.
• Knowledge of version control systems and practical experience with GIT
• Knowledge with VS Code IDE, Android Studio IDE.

Role and Responsibilities: As an Android HMI Developer, you would be responsible for below Android Basic things: System Application/Vendor App, and Priv-App. Permissions assigning, lifecycle and Android Components. Responsible for Crash free application with MVP/MVVM architecture. Live Data, Observer and shared preferences.
