Job summary

Alten in Pune, India is seeking a Middleware Engineer with deep C++ and Android middleware expertise to design and implement infotainment middleware across Android, AOSP, HAL, and HIDL layers. You will work on multi-domain automotive infotainment components including multimedia, Bluetooth, Tuner, and system infrastructure, ensuring robust IPC and cross-platform builds.

Strong knowledge of MISRA C/C++, Git, and Android/Linux toolchains, plus proficiency with Android boot sequences and debugging

Qualifications

• Expertise in C++ programming language with a strong focus on middleware development.
• Experience in design and development of Android-based IVI/Cockpit solutions spanning Frameworks/AOSP/HAL.
• Design and development of C++ Infotainment middleware components (Multimedia, Projection, Bluetooth, Tuner, System Infrastructure) on Android.
• Understanding of Android Boot Sequence and Framework module architecture.
• Experience with Android HIDL interfaces and HAL/VHAL implementation and customizations.
• Cross-compilation and toolchains for Android, QNX, Linux build systems.
• Build systems like CMake, Gradle, Soong.
• Expertise across domains like startup/shutdown, fast boot, audio, multimedia, HMI, sensor integration, Vehicle SOTA, Diagnostics, AUTOSAR.
• Automotive experience in inter/intra-ECU IPC communications.
• Familiarity with IPCL and messaging frameworks.
• Proficient in Object-Oriented Concepts and design patterns in C++
• Knowledge of MISRA C/C++ coding guidelines
• Familiarity with Android/Linux/QNX toolchains and debugging tools like adb
• Strong knowledge of Git version control

Product Experience & Technical Expertise:

• Expertise in C++ programming language with a strong focus on middleware development.
