Job summary

Capgemini Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Android platform engineer to design and develop automotive Android framework components, including HALs and services, for MBOS-aligned products.

You will work with multi-location teams, optimize performance to meet KPIs, and contribute to product-based design concepts, using Java/Kotlin and C++/Rust in a fast-paced embedded Android project.

Qualifications

• Design and architecture of AOSP/AAOS and Android framework services.
• Experience with AOSP Framework, Android HALs, Car Framework.
• Hands-on OEM Framework Extension Service or Custom HAL development.
• Good knowledge of hardware abstraction layers in Android/Linux.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

• Design and Development of Android framework components and Hal services tailored to run on automotive platforms.
• Customization of android automotive framework in alignment with MBOS platform
• Performance measurement and optimization of components to meet automotive KPIs
• Co-working with User concept to bring the product-based design concept.
• Working with multi-location team and product owners to bring the customer centric features
• Quick learning of Embedded Android to perform the full stack Android development.

Preferred candidate profile

• Solid expertise in design and architecture of AOSP, AAOS, Android framework and services
• Solid expertise in AOSP Framework, Android HALs, Car Framework
• Hands on experience in developing OEM Framework Extension Service or Custom HAL development
• Good knowledge in Hardware abstraction layers in Android and/or Linux.
• Programming using Java/Kotlin, C++/Rust,
• Good understanding of the git, CI/CD workflow
• Experience in agile based projects.
