Job summary

Motherson Technology Services Limited in Bengaluru seeks an experienced engineer to design and develop Android/AOSP system services for Automotive applications. You will build C++ components, work with AAOS, and handle VHAL signals to enable downstream HMI and analytics.

The role requires hands-on Android Automotive OS, MVVM/Jetpack skills, and strong C++ expertise, with Python scripting for automation and validation.

Qualifications

Proficient in C++11/17 with strong debugging and memory management.
Hands-on Android/AOSP development and experience with Android Automotive OS.
Knowledge of VHAL and vehicle HMI/IVI development is required.
Experience with Android MVVM, Jetpack, Navigation and Data Binding.
Familiarity with automotive safety concepts and SDLC practices.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Design and develop Android/AOSP system services for Automotive applications.
Develop and maintain C++ applications and system components for automotive platforms.
Work with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) and vehicle-related frameworks.
Develop, integrate, and process VHAL (Vehicle HAL) signals for downstream HMI and analytics components.
Develop HMI and infotainment applications for automotive systems.
Work with Android MVVM, Jetpack, Navigation, and Data Binding frameworks.
Develop and integrate vehicle telemetry, maps, safety events, and other structured datasets.
Develop Python scripts for automation, validation, test execution, and data processing.
Perform unit testing, sanity testing, debugging, log analysis, and issue triage.
Optimize and refactor C++ code for performance, reliability, and memory management.
Work with modern C++ concepts such as C++11/17, RAII, smart pointers, and Rule of Zero/Five.
Support integration of Simulink-generated C++ into embedded/automotive workflows.
Work on automotive safety-related features such as E-Call/B-Call and vehicle fault/alert processing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams during sprint planning, backlog refinement, development, testing, and releases.
