Job summary

Spectrum Talent Management seeks an experienced Android Developer with native Android app development using Kotlin and Java, plus Jetpack Compose expertise. The candidate will build scalable, secure, maintainable apps and work with WebView, REST APIs, testing, and security best practices.

You will implement modular code, perform unit and UI tests, and contribute to CI/CD via Azure DevOps. Familiarity with Gradle, Android SDK, and cross-version compatibility is expected.

Qualifications

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer with strong hands-on expertise in native Android application development using Kotlin, Java, and Jetpack Compose. The candidate should have experience in building scalable, responsive, secure, and maintainable mobile applications, along with knowledge of hybrid mobile architecture, WebView, JavaScript bridges, APIs, testing, and mobile application security.

• Strong hands-on experience in Android Application Development.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Strong experience with Jetpack Compose and Android UI development.
• Expert knowledge of Gradle and Android project/build management.
• Experience with Android SDK, Android versions, device compatibility, and responsive UI development.
• Strong understanding of WebView and JavaScript Bridge integration.
• Experience integrating REST APIs / backend services with Android applications.
• Good understanding of design patterns, modularization, clean and maintainable code.
• Hands-on experience with unit testing and UI testing.
• Knowledge of mobile application security and penetration testing.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) and Google Play application delivery/release processes.

Good to Have

• Experience with JavaScript / TypeScript (ES6 or above).
• Basic knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience working on hybrid or web-enabled mobile applications.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated Android build/release processes.
• Experience with application performance optimization and debugging.
