Job summary

Wokab in Pune is seeking an Android developer to design, develop, test and maintain high-quality mobile applications, delivering smooth performance and great user experience. You will apply Kotlin or Java, work with Android SDK, Jetpack components, MVVM architecture, REST integrations, and ensure robust UI/UX, accessibility and test coverage.

Collaborating with Product, Design and Backend teams, you’ll own features end-to-end, participate in code reviews, optimize performance, and prepare apps

Qualifications

• Hands-on Android development experience with Kotlin or Java.
• Proficiency in Android SDK, Android Studio and Jetpack components.
• Experience with MVVM architecture and REST API integration.
• Strong UI/UX understanding and Material Design principles.
• Experience with unit testing using JUnit/Mockito.
• Good Git and version control practices.
• Familiarity with Firebase and push notifications.
• Nice to have Jetpack Compose experience.
• Knowledge of Coroutines & Flow, Room Database.
• CI/CD exposure and Agile/Scrum experience.
• Experience with Google Play Store publishing and app maintenance.

• Strong hands-on experience in Android application development
• Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java
