Job summary

Sasken Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking an on-site Android/embedded software engineer to strengthen our Android stack. You will work on Android architecture, Java and C/C++, extending System Services, SystemUI, and related FW modules, and contribute to AOSP patches and ROM customization.

You will analyze ANRs and Google compliance issues (STS/CTS/GTS/VTS) while collaborating via Git/Gerrit and Jira. The role emphasizes hands-on debugging, patch review, and maintaining robust system software

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Android architecture and Java/C/C++ development.
• Experience extending System Services, System-Server and related firmware modules (SystemUI, Settings).
• Hands-on with AOSP patches, patch application conflicts, and Gerrit workflows.
• Experience analyzing ANRs, tombstones, and system crashes.
• Experience with Google compliance issues (STS/CTS/GTS/VTS).
• Hands-on with Jira and related issue-tracking tools.

• Strong Knowledge on Android Architecture and exp in Java, C/C++
• Working experience in Extending System Services, System-Server and other FW modules, SystemUI, Settings, Settings-Lib .
• Hands-on experience in GIT/Gerrit & in resolving conflicts while applying AOSP patches
• Hands-on experience in Analysis of ANR's, Tombstones, System crashes.
• Hands-on experience in Analysis of Google compliance issues(STS,CTS,GTS,VTS)
• Hands-on with JIIRA
