This role ensures that scheduled jobs and business-critical batch processes are completed accurately and on time by monitoring job streams, identifying failures, performing initial analysis, coordinating with application and infrastructure teams, and following defined operational procedures. The position requires strong attention to detail, timely communication, and the ability to work in critical production support environment.# Required Skills:* Hands-on knowledge of AutoSys job monitoring, job status validation, job reruns, force starts, holds, and basic job control activities.* Understanding of workload automation concepts, batch processing, job dependencies, calendars, schedules, and production workflows.* Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems, including log review and command-line navigation.* Ability to analyze AutoSys job failures, review job logs, identify common error patterns, and perform first-level troubleshooting.* Maintain job scheduling documentation, operational procedures, and process dependencies.* Assist with implementation and maintenance of job schedules, calendars, and workflows.* Knowledge of ITSM tools for incident creation, tracking, escalation, and closure.* Understanding of production support processes, shift handovers, escalation procedures, and operational documentation.* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills in a time-sensitive production environment.* Good verbal and written communication skills to provide clear updates to technical teams, business users, and shift stakeholders.* Ability to work independently, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and follow standard operating procedures.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting, tracking, and documentation.**Responsibilities:*** Monitor production, test, and scheduled batch jobs through AutoSys to ensure timely and successful completion.* Track job streams, dependencies, schedules, alerts, and failures across business-critical application workflows.* Perform first-level troubleshooting for failed, delayed, terminated, or long-running AutoSys jobs by reviewing logs, job details, and documented runbooks.* Execute standard job control actions such as reruns, force starts, holds, releases, and status checks as per approved procedures.* Create, update, and manage incidents and service requests in ITSM tools with accurate details, impact, actions taken, and resolution notes.* Escalate unresolved or high-impact job failures to application, database, middleware, Unix/Linux, Windows, or infrastructure teams as required.* Provide timely communication and status updates during production issues, shift handovers, and major batch processing windows.* Support daily, weekly, month-end, quarter-end, year-end, weekend, and holiday batch processing activities.* Maintain and update operational documentation, runbooks, escalation matrices, job dependency details, and support procedures.* Assist in job schedule maintenance, calendar updates, job validation, and implementation support under approved change management processes.* Monitor system alerts, event logs, job reports, and operational dashboards to support production stability and availability.* Work closely with application and infrastructure teams to identify recurring issues, support root-cause analysis, and reduce repeat failures.* Follow operational controls, compliance with requirements, change management guidelines, and audit-ready documentation practices.* Participate in rotational shifts, weekend support, and on-call coverage based on business requirements.**Experience*** 3–5 years of experience in IT Operations, Production Support, Batch Monitoring, Workload Automation, or Application Support.* Experience supporting AutoSys or similar workload automation tools such as Control-M, Tidal, UC4, or equivalent is preferred.* Exposure to incident management, shift operations, and business-critical batch processing environments is desirable.**Educational Qualification**Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience in IT operations, production support, or workload automation may also be considered.
