Job summary

Crisil in Mumbai is seeking a research analyst to map institutional and corporate entities for client accounts. You will assist senior team members by collecting and analyzing data from public sources and applying it to proprietary tools.

Effective communication of qualitative insights is essential for stakeholder discussions. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in finance or research, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of work experience in finance or research.
• Graduate or postgraduate degree in finance, business, economics or related.
• Strong data collection, organization and analysis skills.
• Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; VBA macros a plus.

Key responsibilities involve:

• Develop basic understanding of financial institutions’ and corporate entities and their hierarchy’s and map the information
• Assist senior members in the team in accumulating, analyzing and summarizing data & information from public sources
• Executing the information on proprietary tools
• Communicate her/hisideas/thoughts through qualitative information
• Liaise with the teams internally for understanding the requirements of specific client account
• Addressing queries and ad-hoc requests from stakeholders as part of client account management
• Ensure adherence to timelines

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

The successful candidate will have to demonstrate the following skills, experience and attributes:

• 2 - 5work experience
• Graduate /Post Graduation degree in finance, business management, statistics, economics or similar analytical fields.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze data
• Fluency in spoken and written English is essential
• Excellent working skills with MS office tools, especially good at advanced Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in writing macros will be an added advantage.
