It is well suited to an analytical finance professional who is comfortable working with complex systems, tight deadlines, and stakeholders across business and technology teams.

Accountabilities:

  • Maintain payroll processing systems and records by gathering, calculating, validating, and entering relevant employee and payroll data.
  • Calculate employee take‑home pay based on time records, benefits, deductions, taxes, and other applicable payroll inputs.
  • Prepare and maintain payroll accounting journals, including ledger entries for employee earnings and deductions across relevant PeopleSoft modules.
  • Support the intersection between payroll processing and labor allocation, ensuring appropriate data flows and accounting treatment.
  • Prepare Excel analyses, pivot tables, charts, payroll reports, and other management information required for daily and monthly operations.
  • Generate payroll and financial reports for managers and stakeholders, highlighting relevant information and supporting review activities.
  • Respond to payroll‑related inquiries from employees and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Ensure payroll processes comply with established policies, procedures, controls, and applicable legal requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relevant process documentation, including the Global Data Dictionary and other operational materials.
  • Ensure appropriate process and system controls are established and maintained to protect the integrity and accuracy of master data.
  • Perform and report on periodic audits and control checks to identify discrepancies and support corrective actions.
  • Support business initiatives, system changes, data extraction, data conversion, data cleansing, and system configuration activities.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with business users and IT teams to identify and implement appropriate fixes.
  • Coordinate with Cluster PMOs and service delivery teams to track and close action items and maintain progress across initiatives.
  • Support the transition of new countries into the payroll process, including coordination, documentation, data readiness, and operational support.
  • Develop training materials and independently conduct training sessions for relevant users and stakeholders when required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience, with specific experience working with PeopleSoft 9.2 for payroll.
  • Proven experience in payroll accounting, payroll operations, General Ledger, or a closely related finance function.
  • Hands‑on operational experience managing payroll processes within PeopleSoft 9.2.
  • Experience with payroll software or HRIS platforms, with PeopleSoft and Cognos experience considered valuable.
  • Experience across multiple PeopleSoft finance modules is preferred, particularly Projects, Labor/Resource Allocation, Payroll Accounting, and Billing.
  • Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of payroll accounting principles, financial data, and ledger entries.
  • Strong understanding of how data flows between systems and how enterprise applications support finance and payroll processes.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with pivot tables, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and identify practical solutions.
  • Experience troubleshooting issues during UAT and collaborating effectively with business users and IT teams to implement fixes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees, stakeholders, service delivery teams, PMOs, and technology teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a high‑volume operational environment.
  • Ability to independently lead training sessions, develop training materials, and communicate processes clearly to different audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership, and commitment to data accuracy and process integrity.
  • Experience in payroll accounting within a multinational or global organization is preferred.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote working arrangement based in Gurugram, Haryana, India.
  • Full‑time position with a scheduled 40-hour working week.
