The Communications Specialist - Analyst II serves as anextension of the HR Communications team, supporting the development andexecution of communications that help employees and leaders understand key HRprograms, initiatives, priorities, and changes.
This role is responsible for developing clear,audience-appropriate written communications, creating communication andcascade plans, and coordinating functional communication plans from initialrequest through delivery. The Communications Specialist partners closely withU.S.-based HR Communications, Talent Management, Leadership Development, andother HR stakeholders to translate business needs into thoughtful,coordinated communications.
The roleindependently manages defined communication assignments and workstreams,maintains visibility to communication calendars and deadlines, and helpsensure messages are accurate, consistent, timely, and aligned to broader HRpriorities. Success requires strong writing and editing skills, attention todetail, project-management discipline, and the ability to work effectivelywith multiple stakeholders across geographies and time zones.
Responsibilities:
HR Communications Development
- Draft, edit, andcoordinate written communications supporting HR programs, initiatives, processes, and priorities.
- Develop clear andconcise communications for employee, leader, and HR audiences.
- Translate complex HRinformation into accessible, audience-appropriate messaging.
- Developcommunications such as announcements, emails, leader messages, talkingpoints, FAQs, toolkits, presentations, and related materials.
- Edit and proofreadcommunications for clarity, consistency, accuracy, tone, grammar, andalignment with established standards.
- Incorporatestakeholder feedback while maintaining message clarity and consistency.
- Develop communicationplans for assigned HR initiatives, identifying audiences, messages, timing,channels, owners, and required deliverables.
- Build cascade plansthat clarify how information should move through leaders, HR teams, managers,and employees.
- Develop leader andmanager resources that support effective message cascade and reinforceconsistent communication.
- Identifycommunication dependencies, sequencing requirements, and potential gapsbefore launch.
- Coordinatecommunication timing across multiple stakeholder groups to support anorganized employee and leader experience.
- Track communicationmilestones and follow through on outstanding actions and approvals.
Functional Communications Planning
- Support developmentand maintenance of functional HR communication plans and calendars.
- Partner with HRstakeholders to understand upcoming initiatives, key dates, communicationneeds, and audience considerations.
- Help organizeindividual communication requests into a coordinated functional plan ratherthan isolated messages.
- Identify potentialcommunication conflicts, overlaps, or opportunities to combine and streamlinemessaging.
- Maintain visibilityto planned communications, key milestones, owners, and status.
- Support recurringplanning discussions and communication reviews with U.S.-based partners.
Stakeholder Partnership & Coordination
- Serve as a day-to-daycommunications partner for assigned HR stakeholders and workstreams.
- Partner closely withthe U.S.-based HR Communications team to ensure alignment with communicationpriorities, standards, and approaches.
- Gather informationand requirements from subject-matter experts and translate them intoeffective communication deliverables.
- Manage review andapproval cycles and ensure feedback is incorporated accurately andefficiently.
- Communicate status,risks, dependencies, and required decisions proactively.
- Build productiveworking relationships across HR functions, geographies, and organizationallevels.
Communication Operations & Project Management
- Independently manageassigned communications from intake through drafting, review, approval,scheduling, and completion.
- Maintaincommunication trackers, calendars, templates, process documentation, andrelated resources.
- Manage multiplecommunication assignments and deadlines simultaneously.
- Establish and followconsistent workflows for intake, review, approval, and delivery.
- Identify processimprovements that increase efficiency, visibility, consistency, or quality.
- Support developmentof templates, standards, and repeatable practices that enable scalable HRcommunications support.
Education& Experience:
- Bachelor's degree inCommunications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Human Resources, Business, ora related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- Typically 4+ years ofrelevant professional experience in employee communications, internalcommunications, HR communications, corporate communications, or a relatedfield.
- Demonstratedexperience drafting and editing professional communications for employee orinternal audiences.
- Experience developingcommunication plans, communication calendars, or stakeholder cascade plans.
- Experience coordinating communications across multiple stakeholders, deadlines, andinitiatives.
- Experience supportingHuman Resources, Talent Management, Employee Communications, or otherpeople-related programs strongly preferred.
- Experience workingwith U.S.-based or global stakeholders preferred.
