Job summary

April Housing in Bengaluru is seeking an Analyst to join the Accounting team. The role focuses on bank reconciliations, monthly ZBA and cash account management, and timely posting of transactions.

You will also support project closings by reconciling costs and booking construction-related entries. The successful candidate will work closely with the accounts receivable team and auditing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance within the accounting system.

Qualifications

• Experience with daily bank reconciliations and month-end close
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Ability to collaborate with AR/Accounting teams to ensure accurate postings

Responsibilities

• Maintain and prepare bank reconciliations for various accounts
• Monthly ZBA accounts: ensure incoming money is transferred promptly
• Month-end cash accounts: ensure revenues are recorded by AR team
• Reconcile pre-close costs for project closings and capture costs
• Coordinate with AR to reconcile all bank accounts
• Daily transaction reconciliation with AR team and proper recording in accounting system
• Compute surplus cash after annual audits and determine distributable amounts
• Book construction-related accounting entries with preservation team
• Record loan draw entries as needed

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and prepare bank reconciliations for various accounts:
• Monthly ZBA accounts (ensure money that comes in, is transferred immediately out)
• Month-end cash accounts (ensure all money coming in is appropriately recorded by the accounts receivable team)
• Reconcile pre-close costs for project closings, ensuring all costs are appropriately captured.
• Work closely with the accounts receivable team to ensure all bank accounts are reconciled
• Daily Transaction Reconciliation Work closely with the accounts receivable team to ensure all transactions are correctly recorded in the appropriate accounting system.
• Surplus cash calculation Work closely with the accounting teams to analyze annual audits and calculate if there is any surplus cash available for distribution.
• Accounting entries for construction accounts Work closely with the preservation team to book entries related to the construction of new properties.
• Book loan draw entries as appropriate
