Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Level I - Lab Product Analyst to maintain, implement, and optimize the Laboratory Information System across hospital and freestanding ER facilities. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, detailed problem solving, and strong customer service to laboratories and patients.

The candidate will work with CAP and other bodies to ensure LIS integrity, while serving as an SME within the development team for change requests and project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related discipline preferred or equivalent technical experience.
• 3+ years of Lab Information Systems support experience.
• Proficiency with Meditech 5.6 and Expanse Lab modules.

Responsibilities

• Leadership or collaboration in successful LIS projects and implementations.
• Coordinate and facilitate change requests within LIS Development Team.
• Develop education resources for end users on LIS changes.
• Support enterprise projects with strict deadlines and quality.
• Provide training and mentorship to less experienced team members.
• Act as a SME across the enterprise for LIS-related topics.
• Perform dictionary maintenance, testing, and documentation per standards.
• Conduct daily and monthly system checks and lab reference maintenance.
• Perform system validations and verifications per CAP and regulatory requirements.

This is a high-performing team that works cohesively as wemaintain, implement, and optimize the laboratory information system tosupport laboratories and patients served in hospital and freestanding ERfacilities across our divisions, in alignment with the Laboratory ServiceLine’s goals and initiatives.

The position requires a strong work ethic, a desire to learnand grow, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities.Attention to detail and keen judgement are crucial to this role.

The LIS Senior Support Analyst will need to be able totrouble-shoot problems through investigation, collaboration, and creativeproblem solving and must be well-versed in CAP (College of AmericanPathologists) and other regulatory bodies’ requirements for LIS Systems andwill serve as a resource to laboratories in maintaining compliance with theserequirements.

The successful LIS Senior Support Analyst will be an effectivecommunicator with great customer service skills in order to build strongworking relationships with the teams we support. The LIS Senior SupportAnalyst will be a subject matter expert in various areas of the LIS and willcollaborate as part of the development team to fulfill change requests andmeet the needs for various projects as required.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership or collaboration in the successful build,implementation, and support of small and large projects in the LIS space.
• Facilitation of change requests as part of the LIS DevelopmentTeam.
• Facilitation of education regarding changes in the LIS system.May produce education materials, resources, and communications for end users.
• Support work towards implementation of Enterprise projectswith deadlines that must be met.
• Provison of training and support to less experienced teammembers.
• Serves as a resource to others throughout the Enterprise as aSME in areas of advanced experience.
• Performance of dictionary maintenance, testing, anddocumentation according to team standards.
• Performance of daily and monthly system checks and referencelab maintenance.
• Performance of system validations, monthly and bi-annualsystem verifications required by CAP and other regulatory bodies to ensurethe integrity of our systems.

Education& Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or arelated discipline preferred; equivalent advanced technical experience may beconsidered.
• 3+ Years of Lab InformationSystems Support

Must HaveSkills

• Trouble-shooting and documentation of incidents and changerequests, with appropriate escalation as required.
• Collaboration with other teams in the fulfillment of projectrequirements.
• Production system support including On Call responsibilities(rotated among LIS team) as required.
• Provision of support for all facilities across the division.
• May support other divisions as needed.
• Active participation in meetings of the division LIS Team,willing to ask questions and offer opinions.
• Promotion of system security and patient confidentiality andmonitoring compliance.
• Building of strong relationships with core customer base (labdirectors and med techs, etc.).
• Adherence to HCA Code of Conduct and Mission & ValueStatement.
• Performance of other duties as assigned.
