Overview

Job Overview: Individual contributor role focused on developing tools and applications specific to the needs of our global commercial business at Labcorp. Will require excellent collaboration and effective communication under the supervision of a manager level or above.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java, Python, and SQL.
• Work on Salesforce.com or other proposal automation tools to support business requirements.
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure code quality, security, and performance through best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
• Support tool building, while taking the lead on parts of the project to own.
• Owns a tool to manage/update that is low complexity.
• Contribute to process changes to support the business, including owning parts of initiatives or process changes.
• Participate in Strategic Pricing initiatives.
• Work primarily as an independent contributor with some oversight on select tasks.
• Lead meetings for tool-related activities to ensure expectations are clear.
• Contribute to meetings and take a portion of the work to support the entire project.
• Meet all deadlines and escalate appropriately if timelines may lapse.
• Analyze internal and external data to maximize new business opportunities while managing margin targets.
• Support client grid mapping/programming with simple grids.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with internal stakeholders, clients and Labcorp senior management.
• Knowledge of proposal management software applications (e.g., Salesforce.com, Proposal Automation applications) is preferred.
• Proven ability to work independently.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Positive attitude and sense of urgency.
• Ability to work irregular and/or extended hours as needed to accommodate global schedules or meet client delivery needs.
