Responsibilities
- Collaborate with laboratory stakeholders to gather detailed business requirements and translate them into robust configurations for Sample Manager and Star LIMS that enhance daily testing efficiency.
- Configure and optimize Sample Manager workflows to streamline sample registration, tracking, and result management while maintaining consistent data integrity across all lab processes.
- Design and maintain Star LIMS processes integrated with Lab App to support test scheduling, instrument allocation, and electronic approvals in a user‑friendly manner.
- Coordinate with quality and compliance teams to ensure that LIMS configurations and changes align with regulatory expectations and internal standard operating procedures.
- Partner with instrument specialists to integrate Empower with Sample Manager and Star LIMS, enabling seamless chromatography data capture and traceable reporting for audits.
- Implement and refine Labvantage solutions to support specialized laboratory workflows, ensuring that configuration changes are thoroughly documented and validated.
- Configure and support Labware ELN to provide structured electronic experiment documentation that improves collaboration, knowledge retention, and searchability of scientific records.
- Analyze production incidents related to Sample Manager, Star LIMS, Empower, Labvantage, and Labware ELN, then coordinate timely resolution and preventive improvements to reduce recurrence.
- Develop, review, and maintain functional specifications, configuration guides, and user reference materials to support consistent adoption of LIMS and ELN capabilities.
- Conduct training sessions and hands‑on demonstrations for lab users to improve proficiency with Sample Manager, Star LIMS, Empower, Labvantage, and Labware ELN in a hybrid work environment.
- Perform system testing, regression testing, and validation support activities to confirm that enhancements and defect fixes meet defined acceptance criteria without disrupting lab operations.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure that LIMS and ELN environments remain stable, performant, and aligned with corporate cybersecurity policies.
- Continuously assess new product features and industry trends in LIMS and ELN technologies to recommend practical improvements that benefit scientific outcomes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in life sciences, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline with substantial exposure to regulated laboratory environments.
- Bring between six and ten years of direct experience working with Sample Manager and Star LIMS solutions in complex multi‑site or enterprise environments.
- Demonstrate hands‑on experience configuring Star LIMS integrations with Lab App to support sample lifecycle management and instrument workflows.
- Show proven capability in working with Empower for chromatographic data management, including configuration of interfaces with Sample Manager or other LIMS platforms.
- Exhibit practical experience with Labvantage configuration, including design of workflows, master data setup, and user support activities.
- Display solid knowledge and usage of Labware ELN for electronic documentation, template configuration, and support of standardized experiment recording.
- Apply strong understanding of GxP principles, data integrity expectations, and audit readiness considerations within laboratory information systems.
- Utilize excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills to diagnose complex issues spanning Sample Manager, Star LIMS, Empower, Labvantage, and Labware ELN.
- Communicate clearly with diverse technical and non‑technical audiences, providing concise updates and user guidance in a hybrid work model.
- Manage time effectively to handle enhancements, incident resolution, and project tasks simultaneously while maintaining focus on quality outcomes.
- Adapt quickly to evolving priorities in laboratory operations, embracing continuous improvement and innovation in digital lab solutions.
- Maintain a customer‑focused mindset ensuring that every system enhancement and support action contributes to reliable science, patient safety, and broader societal benefit.
