Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Bengaluru is hiring an Investment Banking Analyst/Associate to join its growth path as a leading climate-tech investment bank in India. You will work directly with the Founder and senior bankers on deal execution and investor outreach.

The role requires hands-on financial modeling, creating investor presentations, and deep dives into sector research. Candidates with CA or Finance Masters and 1–4 years of finance experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• CA, Masters or PG in Management/Finance with 1–4 years of finance experience.
• At least 1 year in financial modeling and in VC/PE deal execution.
• At least 1 year in creating investor presentations and pitch decks.
• Strong accounting knowledge and ability to build 3–5 year P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow for unlisted companies.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and entrepreneurial mindset.

The Role :

We are hiring for a full-time Investment Banking Analyst / Associate role, to join us on our growth journey as the pre-eminent Climate-tech investment bank in India.

Key Responsibilities :

As Investment Banking Associate at , you will work directly with the Founder and Senior Bankers in the following areas:

• Supporting Senior Deal Team in end-to-end Investor Outreach, Deal execution, preparation of deal collateral including financial models, valuation frameworks, information memoranda and due diligence coordination, as required. We work on deal sizes in the range of $5-50 million, which are typically Series A, B and later stages.
• Active role in building India's best global investor network for Mobility and Climate-tech businesses + regular engagement with global investors. We already engage with over 200+ Global Climate Investors.
• Business Development in our focus sectors and preparing Pitches for new mandates in terms on information collation, peer group analysis, research, preparation of pitch presentations, etc.
• Research on Industry structure and size, Valuation comparables, Market Mapping in our focus sectors and sub-sectors (pls check Focus Areas on this page) and relevant information on companies, investors and portfolio companies from databases like Tracxn, Venture Intelligence etc.

What we look for:

1. At least 1 year's experience in financial modeling and hands-on involvement in VC/PE fund-raising deal execution.
2. Strong understanding of accounting, financial modeling & financial ratios - This is important for us. Please do not apply if you don't have hands-on experience in building a complex financial model, with 3-5 year P&L, BS and Cash Flow projections, for unlisted companies from scratch by yourself.
3. At least 1 year's experience in making high quality investor presentations and pitch decks.
4. Highly disciplined, strong work ethic, ability to work hard, sometimes for long hours, and deliver on timelines
5. Analytically strong, bright, smart with good communication skills, level-headed, highly entrepreneurial
6. Interest in Electric Mobility and Emerging areas in Climate-tech and keenness to learn. Should be curious and interested to do deep-dives into technical subjects
7. Educational Qualifications: Qualified CA, Masters or PG degrees in Management/Finance, with 1-4 years' experience in finance (relevant experience in corporate finance / investment banking preferred)
