Job summary

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• 4–6 years of experience in general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
• Hands-on experience with BlackLine is preferred.
• Experience supporting regional or multinational finance operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger Reconciliations (60%) – Prepare, review, and complete GL reconciliations using BlackLine and ensure accuracy within defined timelines.
• Issue Resolution & Stakeholder Management (30%) – Investigate and resolve aged reconciling items with finance and accounting teams; perform root-cause analysis and drive improvements.
• Technical Skills – Balance Sheet Reconciliations, ERP Systems, BlackLine, Advanced Excel; strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Support month-end close activities and contribute to process standardization and automation initiatives.

Context & Job Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented Analyst - Accounting to support Record-to-Report (R2R) operations across the APAC region. The role is responsible for General Ledger (GL) account reconciliations, resolution of aged reconciling items, and ensuring the integrity of balance sheet accounts. Working closely with regional finance teams, this position plays a critical role in maintaining strong financial controls and supporting month-end close activities.

Key responsibilities

General Ledger Reconciliations (60%)

• Prepare, review, and complete General Ledger account reconciliations using BlackLine.
• Ensure reconciliations are performed accurately and within defined timelines.
• Maintain supporting documentation and ensure compliance with internal control requirements.
• Monitor outstanding balances and reconciliation exceptions.

Issue Resolution & Stakeholder Management (30%)

• Investigate and resolve aged reconciling items in partnership with finance and accounting teams.
• Perform root-cause analysis to identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to address accounting discrepancies and improve reconciliation quality.
• Escalate unresolved issues appropriately to ensure timely resolution.
• Support process standardization and automation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control effectiveness.
• Contribute to documentation updates and best-practice sharing across the team.
